Customer Request
The customer had already selected a supplier and a 2021 BYD Song PLUS DM-i 1.5L 110KM version. The requirement was a vehicle with less than 80,000 kilometres, and Sauri was asked to arrange an independent inspection before purchase.
What We Checked
The inspection covered the exact vehicle, exterior and interior evidence, instrument information and specialist battery health data.
Critical Finding
The battery test showed 79% state of health. This material condition had not been disclosed by the customer’s supplier.
Risk Assessment
If imported, the vehicle could create a much higher after-sales risk. A weak traction battery may deteriorate further, reduce usable performance and expose the buyer to costly battery-related problems in the destination market.
Buyer Outcome
The customer did not proceed with this vehicle and changed to another option. The inspection turned an undisclosed technical issue into a decision the buyer could act on before payment and export.
