New Changan UNI-K Sourcing & ExportRadar Fault Found Before Shipment

Vehicle Evidence
Project photographs documenting winter sourcing in Horgos, supplier and vehicle verification, factory-certificate review, in-cabin checks, engine-bay inspection and available stock.

Customer Request
In January 2026, a customer in Nigeria asked SauriVehicle to source one brand-new Changan UNI-K. The buyer regarded the model as a strong fit for local business owners and wanted a genuine new vehicle with reliable condition and compliant export support. The timing made the assignment difficult: Guangzhou stock had sold out shortly before Chinese New Year, and many dealers had stopped replenishing inventory as the holiday approached.
What We Checked
After searching beyond Guangzhou, our team located stock through a qualified Changan direct-supply channel in Horgos, Xinjiang. The supplier was one of only eight dealers nationwide with this direct-supply qualification. We travelled to the snowy border city to inspect the vehicle and verify the supplier before accepting it.
- Vehicle identity and factory certificate
- Exterior, interior and engine-bay condition
- Road-test behaviour and radar or driver-assistance alerts
- Electrical functions, controls and in-cabin systems
- Supplier support for the export licence
- Readiness for domestic transport, customs declaration and export
What We Found
During the on-site road test, the first new vehicle produced an abnormal radar alert. A vehicle can be unused and still have a fault that affects the buyer after arrival, so we did not treat its new-vehicle status as sufficient proof of condition. The alert was identified before the unit entered the export chain, while there was still time to prevent the risk from being transferred to the customer.
Decision & Result
We rejected the first unit and required the supplier to provide another brand-new Changan UNI-K. The replacement was inspected before acceptance, and the supplier provided the export licence needed for the transaction. SauriVehicle then coordinated transport from Horgos to Guangzhou Nansha Port, followed by loading arrangements, customs declaration and the remaining China-side export procedures.
Buyer Outcome
The approved replacement vehicle was shipped from Nansha Port to Lagos, Nigeria, with the logistics progress monitored throughout the route. After arrival in Lagos, the vehicle underwent a local inspection, providing destination-side evidence of its condition. The project resolved two separate risks before shipment: scarce pre-holiday inventory and a radar alert on the first proposed vehicle.
