Hyundai has unveiled the fifth-generation Tucson in New York. The SUV is larger than its predecessor and will be offered with petrol, hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains, plus XRT and XRT Pro versions. Hyundai plans to launch it first in South Korea in 2026, followed by Europe and North America in 2027.

Exterior design and dimensions

The fifth-generation Hyundai Tucson follows the brand’s Art of Steel design language. Vertical H-Edge daytime running lights flank a slim central light bar, while pronounced wheel arches, a horizontal character line and prism-style rear lamps shape the exterior.
